　　不同於Metallica的歌詞，這一天真的來了，就在聖誕節的這一天，我們四個騎著腳踏車去環島旅行，意外的，沒有太多欣喜與興奮，也沒有勇者的悲壯，有的只是James的歌聲與Kirk的吉他陪我們在公路上緩飆.......

　　一離開新竹市，荒涼但寬廣的台６１號道就等著我們，在順風的加持下，慢速的緩飆多了一分輕鬆自在，只不過沒有美麗的風景可供欣賞，那荒涼寂滅的況味，如同乏味的生活一般無趣的景色。你可以不滿意，為甚麼出征的第一天就這麼鳥，但是你沒辦法，只能無奈的接受，然後你會發現，更鳥的還在後面，漸漸地，你就會習慣它，接受它，然後變得跟它一樣。

　　一百公里很快的就結束了，我們來到羅大佑的家---鹿港，這裡實在是一個有趣的地方，不知為何的名字出現在搖滾樂的歌詞上的小鎮，但又嗅不到任何一點搖滾的氣息，只有老店與老房子，還有狹窄的道路，但是她所展現的氛圍，是西部沿海城市少見濃厚的古意與樸實。令人流連忘返。

         當天，我們就在鹿港，暫停了緩飆。

附記：為什麼一開始是以Metallica 的新歌做開頭？而不是有名的 "Enter Sandman" 或者是 "...And justice for all" 呢？ 理由很簡單，因為這幾個老小子好不容易相隔五年出了新專輯，總是要捧場一下。況且他們這首 "The day that never comes" 在國外相當受歡迎，歌詞的寓意又滿能符合現代這個世界的一些紛擾的情況，在台灣聽Metal的人算是真的很小眾，算是一個忠實的樂迷幫忙打歌一下吧！
